Collin Yip is the founder and managing partner of Rafi Properties, a real estate investment, development, and asset management firm with offices in Boston and Hong Kong. Collin has built a team and a portfolio of assets that are true to his principles and values: community, innovation, and authentic human interaction. Leveraging his understanding of real estate, venture capital, and education, Collin and his team create environments with culture that enables entrepreneurs, enterprises, and students to accelerate innovation and further their impact to solve some of the world’s biggest problems.

As a vocal advocate for climate tech, Collin serves on the board of the Northeast Clean Energy Council. He is a graduate of Boston University’s Questrom School of Business and is a board member on both BU’s Advisory Board and Innovate @ BU. 

In 2023, Collin and the Rafi Properties team were awarded the Business Neighbor of the Year Award from the Somerville Chamber of Commerce. The Dojo at Somernova, a youth-driven community center pilot, was recognized with a 2023 Excellence Award by the Congress for New Urbanism. 

Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, Collin resides in Boston with his wife Kayla and their two dogs Munch and Milo. He’s an avid skier, rugby and tennis player, and a music enthusiast.
