Dave is Chief Marketing Officer at Legit Security and a member of the company’s executive leadership team. At Legit, Dave leads a team of cybersecurity marketing professionals responsible for all aspects of marketing including brand positioning & messaging, demand generation, content, product marketing and communications.
Legit is Dave’s third early-stage company. Previously, Dave was CMO at ThreatX, a series B cybersecurity company in the API security space. Before that, Dave was VP of Marketing at ZeroNorth, an application security platform company acquired by Harness.
Before leaping into the world of early-stage start-ups, Dave spent a number of years with larger brands including Forcepoint, Raytheon and RSA Security (pre- and post-EMC acquisition). Prior to those roles, Dave started his career in the PR agency world at both Waggener Edstrom and Citigate Cunningham.
In his free time, Dave spends a lot of time coaching various sports and helping run a before-school fitness and wellness program at his son’s elementary school. Beyond that, Dave jumps at every chance to take in live music or hit a CrossFit or hot yoga class. Dave lives in Natick, MA with his wife, Adrienne, and their three children (Jackson, Fay & Brodie).
