About this speaker

I am an accomplished academic and entrepreneur with a dynamic career spanning both scientific research and innovative business ventures. With a Ph.D. in Human Biology and extensive postdoctoral experience, I have contributed significantly to the field of cardiovascular research, particularly in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular disease and regeneration.

Throughout my academic career, I have authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, demonstrating a deep commitment to advancing scientific knowledge. I have been involved in groundbreaking research projects that have provided critical insights into vascular and cardiomyocyte biology in the context of atherosclerosis, critical limb ischemia, cardiac arrhythmias, and heart regeneration, earning recognition within the scientific community. My work has been presented at international conferences and published in leading journals, showcasing a consistent drive for excellence and innovation in research.

In parallel with my academic achievements, I have also pursued entrepreneurial endeavors, leveraging scientific expertise to create impactful solutions in the healthcare sector. I co-founded HealthiFY, a startup focused on AI-powered digital diabetes care, which has attracted interest from investors and industry leaders. Through my leadership, the company has achieved key milestones, including extensive customer discovery at MIT’s I-Corp program and participation at incubators including Harvard Innovation Labs and Nucleate Activator. HealthiFY is planned to launch by the end of 2024 and is currently seeking funding to advance its technology platform.

My unique blend of academic rigor and entrepreneurial spirit positions me as a visionary leader in both the scientific and business communities. With a passion for translating research into real-world applications, I continue to push the boundaries of health-tech and biotech innovation, striving to make a meaningful impact on both academia and industry.
