About this speaker

Giuseppe is the co-founder and managing partner of 186 Ventures, a Boston / NYC based seed stage VC. Prior to transitioning to VC, he was a former founder and operator with both large-scale consumer technology and “deep tech” experience. He likes to work with, and support founders, who are tackling ideas that have the ability to disrupt the way things operate in today’s world from the earliest of stages. Giuseppe tends to favor working and supporting founding teams that are technical in nature and that have demonstrated an ability to iterate aggressively.

Before 186 Ventures, Giuseppe was a founder and CEO at Fam. Fam built one of the largest group video communities ever by scaling to more than seven million users within a year. Fam was acquired by DraftKings, where he subsequently served in product and strategy roles leading up to their IPO. After, Giuseppe joined one of 186 Ventures’ early investments in the neural interface space, Pison Technology, as COO to help build their product, engineering & machine learning, and ops teams and sustain rapid revenue expansion. Today, Giuseppe focuses his investing efforts across a wide range of industries, preferring the non-obvious, unsexy approaches to building high growth startups.
