About this speaker

I am Jessica Woyton, CEO and Co-Founder of WTG Biotech. My life purpose is driven by the idea that I struggled with my health so that I could redesign recovery. My passion for biomedical engineering was planted the moment I was diagnosed with a rare life-changing disease called CIDP. I went through public school and college receiving constant treatment for my illness and missed out on a lot of my teenage years. I had to learn to manage myself as an adult to survive, and I want to prevent that from happening to kids like me. My illness has been my biggest strength and is a chronic motivator to change the world. I always seek opportunities to represent people with disabilities and advocate for equitable healthcare across all demographics. I am especially passionate about innovating women's healthcare and educating women on how to empower themselves and others.

WTG Biotech is a testament to our dedication, passion, and unwavering resolve to create better healthcare solutions for all. We established our company as biomedical engineering undergraduate students and have continued working through graduation. We even received first place at Northeastern University's Pitch-a-Thon for our product WoundGuard. We competed against 10 ventures representing schools such as Harvard, Babson, Tufts, Boston College, and Boston University. Our biggest pride is the limitless applications we keep discovering for WoundGuard. Realizing the impact you can make is truly one of the most exciting and fulfilling moments in biomedical engineering. I continue to be a leader in my biomedical and entrepreneurial communities because of my passion, compassion, and academic capacity.
