John Spangenberger is an intellectual property attorney at the boutique IP law firm Lando & Anastasi, LLP in Boston, MA. John brings deep technology expertise to his practice where counsels some of the firm’s largest clients on a range of IP issues across industry and technology areas.
His work and academic experience have exposed him to a wide range of technologies within the electronics, computer hardware and software, mechanical engineering, consumer products, and medical device fields. John has prosecuted and written worldwide patent applications in a variety of technical areas, including consumer electronics; cybersecurity and secure transactions; data-center design and management; and power-distribution and power-conversion systems design.
Outside of the firm, John is actively involved in supporting and educating the next generation of legal leaders. John is an Adjunct Professor of Legal Writing at his law school alma mater, Suffolk University Law School, where he teaches a required first year class on proper conduct in the legal profession and preparation for written and oral advocacy in a court setting. John also volunteers as a mentor in the Boston civic education program, Discovering Justice, presents on IP topics to industry associations such as IEEE and INBLF, and frequently serves as an advisor and judge for student entrepreneurship competitions.
