She has had a diverse career in mechanical, manufacturing, systems integration engineering, and technical program management. Sera has worked on products such as cubesat satellites, consumer electronics, a fusion reactor, ion thrusters, and tactile-sensing robots. Her experiences inspired her involvement with Techstars, where she serves as a mentor in residence, focusing on hardware portfolio companies. In addition to running her company, she hosts the hardtech startup podcast, The Builder Circle, and conducts workshops for hardware founders worldwide.
