About this speaker

Vani Mittal is a rising junior at Acton Boxborough Regional High School, MA. She's a curious thinker, a passionate leader, and someone who thrives on turning ideas into impact. Whether she's brainstorming innovative solutions to everyday problems or rallying her peers to make a difference in her community, Vani is driven by a desire to create positive change.

As the co-President of the Acton Institute of Computer Science, Vani provides underprivileged students the opportunity to explore their STEM interests, teaching children across the globe. She organizes, hosts, and teaches computer programming classes with her team of volunteers. Her various volunteering endeavors earned her the US Congressional Medal, one of the highest youth honors in the country.

Furthermore, her entrepreneurial spirit shines through in her role as CEO of TelePark, a startup she co-founded through the TiE Young Entrepreneurship (TYE) Program. Her team won first place in the TYE Boston pitch competition, and went on to receive awards at TYE Globals as well. In this process, not only did she learn about the business world but also about collaboration, creativity, and learning to turn challenges into opportunities.

Vani's curiosity doesn't stop at entrepreneurship. She delved into the world of finance through the Wellington Management Invest in Girls Exploring Finance Program, where she gained hands-on experience with trading, stocks, and portfolio management.

As the leader of her high school’s Students for Equity & Justice Club, she’s dedicated to making her community more inclusive and equitable, attending conferences and working on initiatives that tackle the tough issues head-on.

All in all, Vani is someone who finds joy in adventure, whether it's hiking up a mountain, exploring new cultures, or expressing herself through art and singing. She is always eager to learn more, connect with people, and is always passionate about everything she does.
