About this speaker

Wes Schroll is a visionary leader known for turning the impossible into reality. Hailing from Acton, Massachusetts, Wes headed to the University of Wisconsin with two startups under his belt and soon found inspiration for his third venture—Fetch. The idea came to him after his first solo grocery trip, where he realized that consumers were more loyal to brands than the stores they shopped at, but the rewards system didn’t reflect this loyalty.

Despite being told by industry experts that the grocery space was too large, slow to innovate, and complex for a 19-year-old college student, Wes refused to be deterred. When traditional funding avenues proved skeptical, he got creative, entering and winning business plan competitions across the country, securing over $180,000 in cash and prizes. This initial success fueled his determination, leading him to drop out of college in 2013 to fully commit to building Fetch Rewards.

Today, Fetch has grown to over 800 employees, with more than 11.5 million monthly active users. The company partners with over 600 global brands, including General Mills, PepsiCo, and Unilever, revolutionizing the way companies reward consumer loyalty. Fetch is valued at over $2.5 billion and has raised more than $500 million from top investors like SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Greycroft.

Wes’s leadership and Fetch’s innovative approach have made the company a disruptive force in the CPG, restaurant, and retail industries. Nationally recognized as a top workplace, Fetch boasts an A+ company culture. Wes himself has earned accolades such as EY Entrepreneur of the Year, Forbes 30 Under 30, and Crain’s Chicago Business 20 in Their 20s. Now based in Boston, Wes continues to expand Fetch’s footprint, further embedding the company in the city’s vibrant tech ecosystem.
